Drive First-Time Purchases with these Cart Abandonment Emails

 

Even if you have an effective first email in your Welcome Series, there will be a few customers that don’t convert right away. For luxury brands, this is especially true as the time to purchase is often much longer. Tailoring your Shopping Cart Abandonment (SCA) series to first-time customers can help you capture those initial purchases. In addition to showing a photo of the product or products that were left in the customers’ carts, you’ll also want to do the following:

  1. Remind them of their first-purchase coupon code (if you’re using one). If you don’t offer a discount off your first purchase, you could highlight any free shipping thresholds or other incentives.   2. Include a Personal Note, reminding them about what interested them in the first place and even go as far as to addressing some of the common reasons why your customers abandon their carts.
